The Best Bars in Sevilla 🗣️🍷

Modo di Bere on national news. RT's flamenco headshots unveiled! Our first exclusive travel guide.

It’s time to let the professional flamenco photos I had taken in 2023 see the light. If you missed seeing our CBS appearance on your television, you can still still watch the clip. Modo di Bere publishes its first city guide.

Modo di Bere on National News!

Modo di Bere’s first published city guide is linked below, but first, the news! if you missed me on CBS news talking about Dry January, you can watch it here.

The full segment by Shanelle Kaul was published on Saturday morning. I was so happy to meet her and her team, and I thought they did a fantastic job researching and presenting this story.

I am really grateful to Sam Bail of Third Place Bar for being such a warm fire for her community in the non-alcoholic space. I hope that the wine industry at large can be as welcoming as this sector has been to me, a sommelier who does imbibe.

As you may know, I’ve been conducting filmed interviews for a couple of years for the forthcoming travel show, Modo di Bere TV. It was quite fun to be on the other side of the interview table!

TikTok Shenanigans

I really want to thank you for reading this newsletter. It’s truly the best way to stay connected with this multi-media publication I’ve devoted myself to creating for the past two years.

I’m not gonna lie, having the incoming administration mess with content creators in a big way before the inauguration was more unnerving than I had anticipated.

If you’ve been thinking about becoming a paid supporter of Modo di Bere on Patreon, this would be a really good day to sign up.

We’re determined to continue covering linguistic diversity and local culture, but the support that we have from our paid members is a necessity as well as a huge encouragement.

RT’s Flamenco Photos

Today’s article is a city guide to the best bars in Sevilla. The piece is this month’s exclusive article for Patreon supporters at the Newsletter Drinker level.

I’ll tell you a little more about the guide and link it below, but I’ve realized it’s time to let these photographs by Terrence Hamilton of Image Taker Studios see the light. I chose flamenco as my hobby for many reasons, but of course the outfits are quite fun. Terrence is also a travel creator, so give him a follow and stay tuned for our upcoming collaboration.

It was my class trips to Sevilla with the Xianix Barrera Flamenco studio in 2023 and 2024 that facilitated my studious research into the city’s best bars.

The Best Bars in Sevilla

You have to experience the bars in Sevilla!

I’m really proud of the guide that I’ve put together for my favorite bars in Sevilla. Reminiscing about the delicious tapas, sherries, and refreshingly simple Spanish cocktails filled me with a feeling I gradually realized was not hunger, but love. I love the bars of this city, I love the neighborhood of Triana, and I will visit and revisit the places on my list as many times as I can.

I hope the guide will be truly useful to you as you plan or dream of a visit to Sevilla. I’ve included an interactive map for members to add their own recommendations.

This exclusive guide is available to Patreon members at the Newsletter Drinker level. If you’re not sure you’re ready to commit to a membership, but you want to see this article as an example of the quality of monthly content you will receive, you may buy the guide as a one-off purchase.

(Please note that paying for things on Patreon in a web browser instead of the app store avoids an IOS surcharge, this goes for memberships as well. Using the app to access your exclusive works fine.)
